EarthLove Station Hakuba with Garden Image

Welcome

Thank you for finding EarthLove Station Hakuba House among the many places to stay in Hakuba.

We're not a luxury hotel.

We're a small guesthouse where nature lovers, local residents, and travelers from around the world come together—each enjoying Hakuba in their own way.

Whether you prefer quiet moments or meaningful conversations, you're always welcome to spend your time here at your own pace.

Why Hakuba?

I was born in Nagano, yet I didn't truly discover the beauty of Hakuba until 2020.

For more than 20 years, I had walked through the Himalayas and traveled among mountains around the world. Then, the first time I stepped out of Hakuba Station, I stopped in my tracks.

"I never imagined a place like this existed in Japan."

Towering 3,000-meter peaks rise just beyond the village. Every day, people live beneath them, children walk to school, hikers set off for the mountains, and nature is simply part of everyday life.

It reminded me of the Himalayas in Nepal, where my mother was born—a place where people and nature have lived side by side for generations.

I later learned that many Nepali workers helped build Hakuba's mountain trails and huts, making the connection feel even more meaningful.

When the world paused in 2020, our family began asking ourselves a simple question:

"Where do we truly want to live?"

The answer was Hakuba.

Here, surrounded by nature and a welcoming community, we felt we could naturally bring EarthLove's vision to life—connecting people, cultures, and nature while inspiring a deeper appreciation for our planet.

Looking back, it feels less like we chose Hakuba...

...and more like Hakuba chose us.

Today, we're grateful to share this place—and its story—

with every guest who walks through our door.

Hakuba 4 Seasons 7 Days = Deep Nature

Hakuba 4 seasons collage

Nature, right outside your door.

Hakuba isn't special simply because it has four seasons.

It's special because the mountains are different every single day.

Fresh spring green.

Brilliant autumn colors.

No matter how many times you visit, you'll discover a different side of Hakuba.

That's why we hope EarthLove becomes a place you'll always want to return to.

Choose the space that suits your style of travel.

EarthLove Station Hakuba House offers two private guest rooms, each with its own character, along with shared spaces where you can relax, connect, or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Basecamp Room (1F | 1–2 Guests)

A bright, cozy room with windows on two sides that welcome natural light and fresh mountain air throughout the year.

With two single beds, a small sofa, and a simple kitchenette, it's perfect for couples, friends, solo travelers, or longer stays.

Peak Room (2F | 1–4 Guests)

Our largest room offers over 30㎡ of open, comfortable space.

Large windows on the east and south sides fill the room with light and fresh air. It features one semi-double bed and two single sofa beds, with flexible layouts for couples, families, or small groups.

Please note: Peak Room is located on the second floor of a traditional Japanese house and is accessed by a fairly steep staircase. If you have mobility concerns, young children, or elderly guests in your group, please contact us before booking.

Beyond your room, you're welcome to enjoy our shared dining area and garden—places to relax, share a meal, chat with fellow travelers, or simply slow down and enjoy Hakuba.

We hope it becomes part of your journey.
